 In an interview, when asked why not have a baby after being married so many years, Liu said that he had no courage to have the baby because it takes great responsibilty to be parent. Besides, because having a baby changes everything, he was also not ready for such life changes.
However, he said, although he didn't have a baby, he had adopted about 10 children in China. When being asked the reason, Liu said he believed that helping a child is helping his family. His mother always taught him that and he also thought so. So he adopted children from many years ago.
